This piece is a healing, a retreat, a meditation and revival. God has used it to bless, heal, stir and assure many people. I will share a few.
But you will not maximize the deposits in it if you don’t first watch this video. so click the link and watch that video first.
Now that you have watched it. That song, originally sung by Sola Allyson, is a base element for this piece. It highlights the important ingredients to understand your identity, overcome fear, unlock divine resources. It will helps you to overcome worry, unnecessary anxiety and fix possible Identity dilemma as God’s children. Lets dive.
The first and the most important part of the song is IDENTITY, Omo Oba.
Stand before the mirror, real or imaginative, and call yourself that name. Yes, it feels strange but call yourself Omo Oba until it sticks, till you accept it, till you are conscious of the power it possesses.
The scripture supports this name. It’s our name but we sometimes forget. Omo Oba, for those who don't understand Yoruba means The child of a king The one the king births. 1 Peter 2:9 says we are a Royal Priesthood. TPT version says we are ‘Priests who are kings’
The first instruction in that song says Ma mikan. This Yoruba is deep, so I will mirror the translation from its root usage. Ma mikan means, do not allow your heart to shake. This is a bit watered down. Mafo, the street palance is the closest in meaning. It’s not a plea. It’s a ‘we don't do that here’ conversation. Don't shake. Don't fold, Ma mikan
It's a commandment. Not a plea. Joshua 1:9 God speaking to Joshua ‘Have I not commanded you, be strong, be courageous, do not be afraid your God will be with you wherever you go’ So this time, add your name and say Abiola don't be afraid, God dey.
The third element in that song is don't forget
Oh my God we forget. Is it that you've never seen the hand of God? We can count multiple ACTS of God but when the room is dark a little, our anxiety crushes our memory we forget. We allow the recency of our changes to crush the testimony of his faithfulness.
God was graphic with the Israelites. He was hands-on with mighty acts to show how much he loved them. He responded to their cry when they suffered under the Pharaoh's oppression and forced labour. He sent Moses, divided the sea, sent down Manna, plagued Egypt, brought out water from the rock, and fed them with quail yet they forget. Most of us are Israel. If the miracle gets cold a bit, we forget. That song says Magbagbe There are two things you should never forget
1: Who and whose you are.
2. God’s Acts in your life or your fathers. Whatever He has done that you witness, can prove and can personalize.
See God bragging in Psalm 50:10
Every beast of the forest is mine. I'm the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills’ Ema gbagbe se
The next element in that song is Orò.
We have to manage the English meaning available which is wealth. Like it sounds, it’s a bold, expansive, deep and solid version of wealth, far beyond exhaustibility. When you say someone is stinkingly wealthy, multiply that by a billion universe, that is God.
E no get how you wan stretch. E no get how innumerable your desires are. Na your Fada get am.
He's a possessor. Romans 8:36 says “For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things…” So don't request from a deficit mentality. He has what you are asking for!
This is so powerful because we dream, ask, and desire things based on our evaluation of the available means/resources. We rarely go beyond the threshold our minds set because we think our reach or resources are the cap.
If we only do what our money, networks, and capacity can execute, we will end up small! God is our bankroller.
Yes you read my mind. I want you to be reckless and delusional in your desire. Because that's what your logical mind is telling you right now. I'm a typical example. I no dey price wetin my money no reach but that's not a good thing. So most times I don't heed my logic when dreaming or desiring stuff.
Don't be your own cage! No One travels beyond the limit they draw for themselves.
Friend, you will be small if you see your dreams through your pocket. If you see your prosperity through your account balance and if your projects can be funded by what you have now. All you will have would be a cubicle and a mouse hole. Break yourself out of that strain. Scale your dreams, stretch your desire. Advance your cravings
The concluding element in that song is ‘Your father owns the Glory’
The Gospel coalition says Glory is the magnificence, worth, loveliness, and grandeur of His many perfections. Too many vocabularies right? Let me break it down.
Glory is that thing you want to take for yourself by being at the centre of everything, by worrying, by getting worked up. Glory is the result you want. Glory is the prestige you want to have as a strategist, a hard worker, a badass techie…yes. Some of your body heat and high BP came because you wan take wetin no be your own
Glory is what remains when the work has been done, when your request is granted, when the difficult bill is paid, when the application is successful. When healing takes place. That's Glory, and it’s only God that can take it. When you worry about the HOW the miracle will happen, you are overstepping your boundaries because you want to share the Glory with the doer.
John 12:27, Jesus was in a quagmire, a predicament, a tangle. He was in soup! He needed an intervention badly. He admitted and said “Now my soul is troubled” he said, save me from this hour” Does this sound like you when you battle against the wall?
So He said ‘Father, Glorify your name’ and guess the response he got, “I have glorified it and will glorify it again” He takes the Glory while the project is ongoing and when it done. Remove yourself from the scene.
Thank you for following to this point. I’d love to read your feedback. Have a blessed week and breakthrough from within.
