No announcements, just doing the work. No fancy lights, just showing up. No show off, Just aligning. No second-guessing, just following. No regrets, just building. Not doing too much, just obedience.
I
Be more obsessed with doing the work than making loud announcements. Work is more rewarding and will change the outcome of your life with tangible results than blowing trumpets unnecessarily.
People and social media love breaking news. It will give you likes, hugs and many comments. It will give you “congratulations” but it does not go beyond that. You’d be excited but the feeling of excitement will not do the work for you. Work on the other hand looks boring but it’s far more rewarding. Let your result make the announcement.

No playing to the gallery. Decide to show up whether someone is there to notice you or not. You’re in this with yourself alone. The gain is for you alone. Refuse the urge to be in everyone’s face just because you’re showing up, at work, in the family and all. It’s a loooong day, if the gallery inspires you, you’d soon get bored.
Those who play to the gallery don’t last in any game.
They are the jugglers,they’re there for the applause and that’s all. They don’t compete for the real meet and trophies. They don’t make a deep or lasting impact.

Align: You’d ask yourself , who should I align with? Align with your calling, with your purpose, with the detail of your assignment and with your journey. Align with the God who set you up and commissioned you on this assignment. When you find that inner reason why you are here, life becomes easy for you and the pressure to follow a trend will die in its infancy. If you don’t align, you will be constantly drifting:
“It’s like they don’t like this thing I’m doing” you drift
“This career doesn’t look like what everyone is doing” you drift.
“This outfit is not trending”, you drift
“This skill is not popular” you drift
The reason why God is laying this on my mind is this:
Many of you are drifting away from your call and assignment. You are tired of what God sent you because you won’t stop looking at the other side. You’ve lost energy and motivation because of internet frenzy and need for validation. If you don’t align with the One who sent you on assignment you will never develop any root talk less of being established.

No second-guessing, just following:
You cannot get anything out of life if you’re not invested in self belief. You are all that you have to bet on, to believe strongly in, to follow and to trust. But you must also be the one who is also following God’s instructions. We fail too much to believe in ourselves. We understand how frail, independent and weak we are, therefore we have every logical right to doubt and cast aspersions on our possibilities. But following God helps you to keep going, because even though you are weak. He is strong.
V
Not doing too much, just obedience
Every path has its boundaries and jurisdiction. Stay within yours and don’t do beyond what your path demands. Doing too much means engaging in extracurricular activities that wastes energy, resources and time. It prolongs one’s journey and reduces the force of impact. A lot is happening around you but your sight must be single.
Purpose requires sticking to the plan, not giving yourself to distraction. Your strength is limited, do not be prodigal with it. Most people erroneously believe that doing too much means being rewarded in multiple places, that is wrong. Whatever breaks your focus, breaks your commitment. Whatever breaks your commitment breaks your input, whatever attacks your input tampers with your harvest. Obedience looks basic but it has multiple rewards.
Purpose is not complex, but when you take on tasks that do not belong to you, you will wear out and labour outside what you don’t have grace for.
Oftentimes you will hear whispers. The master will instruct you on the books to write, conversations to join, products to create, business to start, obey. If you believe that you are His worker, you will anticipate His leading and heed his warning when He gives it.
If you feel too smart, you will miss your way often. I’ve burnt my fingers too many times. I wander off with the subjects I want to cover but The master says, “stick with the basics”. You must be cured of your own intelligence when you walk with the Master.
VI
No regrets, just building. Regret is the anthem of those who reside in the past. They consistently talk about their mistakes, the business that died, the enterprise that failed, the relationship that broke etc.
There is nothing we lost in the past that we don’t have the capacity to gain in the present.
People take the resources of today to build the opportunities in the past that they will never reap. They invest today’s stability on possibilities that can never be gained. People who are truly building do not have time to revise mistakes that add nothing to the present structure. Keep building. Nothing in the past can be compared to what today holds. You have no business crying over spilled milk.
